Dr. Brook Barrington is the former New Zealand ambassador to Thailand, who is currently the Deputy Secretary for Policy and Planning at the Ministry of Defence in New Zealand
Dr. Barrington was elevated to the post on February 26, 2006 by Minister of Foreign Affairs Winston Peters. Dr. Barrington's ambassadorship came on the eve of fifty years of diplomatic relations between the two countries and is seen as a means to advance both strategic and economic partnerships. He lives with his wife Gill Barrington in Wellington and they have three children.
